This Baltic Amber is an everyday style necklace where it measures 18” with a screw clasp closure. The necklace consists of Baltic Amber nuggets and chip stones, making this a bit more than the normal round style you see other places. Unique in design, bold but yet simple. Baltic Amber is a resin so they are very light.
Known as a "window to the past " Baltic amber is fossilized pine tree resin frequently containing prehistoric plant material insects and strands of DNA. It has been appreciated for its beauty and unique properties since Neolithic times.
Amber has also been used, historically, as a talisman for courage and self-confidence, and was thought to bring good luck to warriors in battle. In some cultures, amber symbolizes the renewal of marriage vows and is used to assure promises. It is worn by elders as a symbol of their endurance and wisdom.
